Tap Master's proven effective method of Pipe freezing isolates your piping when draining the system is not economical or environmentally sound. Valve additions and repairs are made quick and easy. Great for high pressure and copper systems. less draining allows you to stay in the green.

The two 4" pipe freezes were needed for relocation of the

piping, due to new duct work at the hospital renovation.

Once completed the two 4" lines were

rerouted without the need for valves

Because the pipe was using VIC couplings no welding was

needed, the pipe was roll grooved with a portable groover.

This allowed the pipe to be cut within inches of the freeze.

Because the chilled water is 48° F, it's affect on the freeze is

minimal. If this were a hot water line, the distance from the main

would be significantly greater due to the elevated temperature.

The two 8" Pipe Freeze isolations at Doctors Medical Center,

Modesto are isolating a chilled water supply and return line at

the same time. Valves were installed near the pumps to allow

for future servicing.

Verification of a successful pipe freeze can be seen in the frost

line at each end of the pipe freeze jacket, as well as the

temperature monitor readings of the pipe sensors 2" from the end

of each freeze. Time tables are used as a guide only as there are

to many variables to predict exact freeze times in the field.
