As an alternative method to Pipe Freezing, Line Stopping

provides a mechanical method of isolating your pipe line.

Bypass capabilities allow pipe lines to stay in service while

piping modifications are made. Line Stops can be used on

all types of pipes, services and conditions.

City of Porterville on 26 psi ACP Pipe.

The two 6" inch JCM stainless steel tapping sleeves and

AWWA gate valves were installed, the system tested

and tapped. Coupons were given to the city inspector.

With the Line Stops in place, the line is depressurized and new

"PRV" pressure reducing valve installed. Threaded completion

plugs are inserted live into the 12" Line Stop Tapping Sleeve

special flanges, allowing the retrieval of the valves.
